About the Role:
Furniture Mart is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Non-CDL Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team in Gretna, LA! This is a great opportunity to be the face of our brand, delivering quality furniture and exceptional service directly to our customers' homes. Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and deliver furniture to residential customers
- Safely operate a non-CDL delivery vehicle in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations
- Assist with in-home furniture placement, assembly, and setup as needed
- Inspect deliveries for damage and ensure items match customer orders before drop-off
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding delivery windows, instructions, and concerns
- Complete delivery documentation, logs, and electronic confirmations accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and routine inspection of delivery vehicle and equipment
Requirements:
- Valid Chauffeur’s license with a clean driving record (no CDL required)
- Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture items (50–100+ lbs) with a team partner
- Prior delivery, moving, or logistics experience preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented work ethic
- Ability to navigate local routes using GPS or map applications
- Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment screening
