About the Role:
Furniture Mart is looking for a dependable and customer-focused Non-CDL Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team in Gretna, LA! This is a great opportunity to be the face of our brand, delivering quality furniture and exceptional service directly to our customers' homes. Responsibilities:
- Load, transport, and deliver furniture and home furnishings to residential customers.
- Safely operate a 26 foot box truck in compliance with all traffic and safety regulations
- Unload and assemble furniture in customers' homes with care and professionalism
- Inspect deliveries for damage before and after transport, documenting any issues
- Communicate delivery schedules and updates to customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Maintain a clean, organized delivery vehicle and ensure proper cargo securing techniques
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures upon delivery
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record — no CDL required
- Ability to lift and carry heavy furniture items (50–100+ lbs) with or without assistance
- Prior delivery, moving, or logistics experience preferred
- Strong customer service skills and a professional, friendly demeanor
- Ability to navigate local routes efficiently using GPS and mapping tools
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends
