Non-CDL Owner Operator - Local/ Regional

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Owner/Operator 1099 Independent Contractors to join our logistics team. This role involves owning/operating a box truck to transport Furniture/Cabinets/LTL Freight/Etc. efficiently and safely. As an Independent Contractor, you will need to hire/manage your own scheduled crew and be reliable while ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to safety regulations.

Must own and operate a 26" Box Truck with a lift gate and team to make deliveries in the Kansas City region.

Duties

• Operate trucks for the transportation of freight.
• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
• Navigate routes effectively while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.

Experience

• Proven experience in truck driving with a valid DL & Physical DOT Card
• Good communications skills and proper attire.
• Experience with loading and unloading
• Background in freight transportation or delivery driving is highly desirable.
• Ability to handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to commercial driving.
