Job Duties

• Operate a yard goat to move trailers throughout the yard and dock areas
• Hook and unhook trailers safely and efficiently
• Switch out empty trailers with loaded trailers to support warehouse and production operations
• Park trailers at designated docks and yard locations
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Follow all company safety procedures and yard traffic regulations
• Communicate with dispatchers, warehouse personnel, and managers via radio and onboard computer systems
• Complete approximately 40-50 trailer moves per shift
• Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and safety
• Operate in various weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and wind

Driving Requirements

• Valid CDL-A license
• DOT Medical Card
• FMCSA Clearinghouse registered and clear MVR
• 1 year CDL experience (within the past 3 years)
• No more than 3 moving violations/at-fault accidents (within the past 3 years)
• No DUI, reckless driving, or serious violations (within the past 5 years)
• 1 year of yard goat/yard hostling experience w/in the past 3 years

What You Will Do

As a Non CDL Yard Goat Driver you will safely operate vehicles to transport goods, materials, or equipment while following established routes, schedules, and safety regulations. You will perform vehicle inspections, maintain required documentation, communicate with dispatch or customers as needed, and help ensure deliveries are completed safely, accurately, and on time while maintaining a professional appearance and commitment to customer service.
