Works with hospital executives chiefs of service and department heads in the analysis of spending patterns revenue performance development of cost center budgets and the implementation of cost containment programs and revenue enhancement opportunities.
Analyzes cost center staffing levels and expenses and develops standards with which to distribute resources.
Develops reporting systems for monitoring and controlling expenditures and revenues.
Oversees the development of functional and specification for systems applications to plan monitor and control salary and non-salary spending and revenue performance.
Analyzes third party reimbursement rates and regulations as they relate to operating and capital budget issues.
Develops and prepares financial profitability analyses. Develops and analyzes business plans for new programs and capital proposals. Makes recommendations regarding requests as appropriate.
May provide training or work direction to assigned staff as needed.
Assists in the formulation of specific department goals and objectives and monitoring of activities to ensure achievement of goals and objectives. Participate in the formulation of hospitalbudget policies and procedures. Develops andor modifies policies and procedures to recommend to management.

Three to five years of previous work related experience required

Knowledge of Budgeting Cost Accounting
Education
Bachelors Degree required
