Participate in hospital-wide continuous readiness activities to ensure ongoing compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert for hospital teams in assessing compliance with regulatory standards.
Collaborate with departments to implement standardized processes for accreditation and regulatory activities.
Facilitate the development and monitor the completion of corrective action plans and related data analysis.
Lead tracing activities, internal mock surveys, focused standards assessments, training, and education.
Respond to requests from surveyors and guide operational leaders in documentation review.
Synthesize complex information for operational and senior leaders, identifying areas of risk.
Review and interpret hospital data to ensure standards are measured appropriately.
Maintain current knowledge of external standards and regulations, serving as a subject matter expert.
Design and deliver educational training to enhance organizational knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements.
Identify and present areas of regulatory risk to the organization.
Participate in hospital regulatory programs in various roles, including survey escort and tracing activities.
Manage FSA teams, identifying areas of risk and collaborating on corrective action plans.
Maintain a central repository of all hospital survey activity and provide reports to leadership.
Participate in various hospital and Quality committees, work groups, or task forces as assigned.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare-related roles
Quality Assurance experience is crucial
Hospital healthcare experience is required
Knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, and DOH requirements
Experience with desktop computer applications and knowledge of database concepts
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Experience with managing and interpreting data
Ability to manage multiple activities and meet timelines and deadlines
Ability to work with various departments and levels of personnel
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree
3 years of Project Management experience
Ability to plan and lead projects, facilitate project scope, develop project plans, manage timelines, and provide direction and support to project teams
