POSITION PURPOSE






The Senior Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician is responsible for performing multiple equipment in support of the overhaul and repair of aircraft propeller systems, including Allison and Hamilton Standard. This role ensures all inspections and processes meet applicable airworthiness standards.







Responsibilities include the evaluation, disassembly, inspection, and testing of components in accordance with approved technical data, including maintenance manuals, service bulletins, airworthiness directives, and other regulatory requirements, while meeting established production timeline

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

:






High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical training or certification in Non-Destructive Testing or a related field is preferred.






MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE

:






Minimum of 4 – 6 years of experience in non-destructive testing within an aerospace or aviation environment preferred. Experience with aircraft component inspection, propeller maintenance, or military aircraft maintenance is highly desirable.






CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

:






At the Level II stage, the technician is required to hold current certification in one or more NDT methods (e.g., Liquid Penetrant [PT], Magnetic Particle [MT], Eddy Current [ET], and/or Ultrasonic [UT]) in accordance with applicable standards such as NAS 410 or ASNT. The technician is expected to continue developing proficiency across additional NDT methods and expand certifications as required by business needs.







The Level II technician actively maintains required certifications and supports ongoing qualification efforts, including completion and proper documentation of On-the-Job Training (OJT) requirements. This includes ensuring training records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with company procedures and applicable regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Establishes and maintains inspection techniques to properly examine hardware, ensuring compliance with all safety requirements, specifications, and approved procedures.

Performs non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using methods such as Magnetic Particle (MT), Eddy Current (ET), and Liquid Penetrant (PT).




§


Interprets inspection results and applies acceptance criteria in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and shop work orders.




§


Conducts required daily, weekly, and monthly process control checks to ensure equipment accuracy and process reliability.




§


Accurately documents, records, and organizes inspection results in compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.




§


Interfaces and communicates effectively with engineering and quality teams to report inspection findings and support technical evaluations.
