Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our General Cardiologist, you will join CHI Saint Joseph Cardiology in Lexington, KY, and become part of an established cardiology team dedicated to providing exceptional heart and vascular care throughout central Kentucky. As a General Cardiologist, you will have the opportunity to build a thriving practice supported by a strong referral network, collaborative colleagues, and a growing regional healthcare system.

Every day you will provide non-invasive cardiology care, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, perform diagnostic procedures based on your training, and help improve access to specialty cardiovascular services across the region.

To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist with strong clinical expertise, a patient-centered approach to care, and a commitment to collaboration. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, procedural proficiency, and the ability to thrive within a collegial, team-oriented environment.

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services to patients throughout central Kentucky
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad spectrum of cardiology conditions
  • Perform cardiac procedures and interventions consistent with your training and specialty focus
  • Participate in outreach clinics that expand access across the region
  • Collaborate with an established cardiovascular team
  • Utilize in-clinic cardiac imaging services to support patient evaluation and treatment planning
  • Maintain a balanced practice supported by a strong referral network from primary care and specialty providers
  • Collaborate closely with hospitalists, intensivists, and multidisciplinary care teams to provide coordinated patient care
  • Utilize EPIC as the integrated electronic medical record in both clinic and hospital settings
  • Contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, teamwork, and patient-centered cardiovascular care
