Posting Summary The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) in the School of Engineering at Rutgers The State University of New Jersey invites applications for one full-time non-tenure-track (NTT) engineering faculty position. The position is primarily at the Assistant Professor level, however exceptional candidates may be considered for appointment at the Associate or Full Professor level.
Successful applicants are expected to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the following areas:
• Elementary level circuits and synthesis • Electronic devices • Digital system design
The expected start date is September 1, 2026. The initial appointment will be for two years and renewable subject to enrollment needs, availability of funding, and performance.
The ECE Department places strong emphasis on teaching excellence and innovative approaches to engineering education. We serve a highly talented undergraduate and graduate student body and seek candidates who can effectively teach large-enrollment courses and coordinate multiple teaching assistants.
Successful candidates will have opportunities to supervise undergraduate research work with Honors College students and supervise capstone projects and masters theses-many of which lead to peer-reviewed publications-as well as to engage in professional development activities including participation in conferences and educational workshops.
