The Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (ECET) department in RIT's College of Engineering Technology (CET) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position. We are seeking dynamic and dedicated educators who are passionate about teaching and student success.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories, with an emphasis on first- and second-year computer and electrical engineering.
- Contribute to curriculum development to ensure programs remain aligned with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Demonstrate commitment to student engagement through activity-based pedagogy and experiential learning opportunities.
- Participate in effective teaching workshops such as KEEN.
Service Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the department, college, and university through committee service and related activities.
- Maintain a professional development agenda that supports departmental growth and reflects current advancements in computer and electrical engineering technology.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- PhD or Masters in Engineering, Computer Science, Science, or related STEM field, or PhD in STEM Education with appropriate MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or related STEM field
- Demonstrated knowledge and potential to be proficient in teaching at the college level
- Previous industrial experience is highly desirable.
