    This position will require access to ITAR and/or EAR controlled technical data, technology or source code, and requires that all individuals in this role be authorized to access such information

    General Description

    The Quality Assurance Level I NDE Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our products. In this position, you will apply certified RT and/or UT nondestructive examination methods, assist in developing inspection techniques, and help maintain the high standards that guide our manufacturing operations. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on technical work, have strong attention to detail, and want to build expertise in advanced inspection and quality assurance practices within a highly collaborative environment.

    Shift Schedule

    • Monday–Thursday: 7:00 am–4:30 pm
    • Working Fridays: 7:00 am–3:30 pm
    • Every other Friday off; weekends off
    • Overtime per company needs

     

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform RT and/or UT nondestructive examinations on manufactured and procured products.
    • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections when applicable.
    • Maintain product flow, documentation, and traceability to ensure complete and accurate NDE records.
    • Monitor inventory of inspection consumables and order materials and supplies as needed.
    • Perform system checks, calibrations, and routine maintenance; maintain equipment calibration and maintenance schedules.
    • Support equipment servicing and radiation monitoring systems as required.
    • Conduct NDE system self‑audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
    • Evaluate new programs or job requirements and assist in developing and refining inspection techniques in collaboration with Level III personnel.
    • Collaborate with production teams to support daily operations and ensure proper NDE documentation.
    • Support Cause and Corrective Action (CCA) investigations as needed.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.

     

    Education and Experience Requirements

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Ability to meet required visual acuity standards (Jaeger 1 or equivalent and minimum 20/40 vision; corrected or uncorrected)
    • Preferred: 3 years of NDE experience in aerospace hardware (including composites, rubber, and bonded structures), OR
    • Prior Level I qualification or certification in an NDE method with documented 40 hours of classroom training
    • Successful completion of applicable Level I examinations for RT and/or UT per RQC 0526 (NAS 410), administered by REDAR Principal Level III
    • Strong mathematical skills
