Shift Details:
6 Month Assignment
Mon-Fri 0600-1430
ORIENT 1 day, Monday 0800-1600
Phlebotomist Duties & Responsibilities:
Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and capillary techniques.
Verify patient identity and ensure proper specimen labeling.
Prepare patients for blood collection by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
Process, store, and transport laboratory specimens according to established protocols.
Maintain accurate patient and specimen documentation.
Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions during or after specimen collection.
Maintain and sanitize phlebotomy equipment and work areas.
Collaborate with laboratory staff and healthcare providers to ensure timely specimen processing.
Provide compassionate, professional patient care throughout the collection process.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma/ GED equivalent
1+ years phlebotomy experience
American Heart Association BLS for Heath Care Providers
An active, current state license.
Additional certifications may be required.
Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements)
