The Nonferrous Delivery Driver & Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of nonferrous materials within the yard and between various facilities. This role requires operating roll-off and tractor-trailer equipment to deliver materials, conducting daily pre-operational checks, and ensuring the timely delivery of materials in compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
What You Will Do:
- Move various loads of material to designated areas throughout the yard as instructed by management.
- Conduct “milk-runs” throughout various facilities and deliver the nonferrous material to the yard.
- Safely operate roll off and tractor trailer equipment to transport material in most effective, timely manner as possible.
- Perform daily pre-operational checks on tractor, ability to top off any needed fluids.
- Buy, sort, grade nonferrous material.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
What We Look For:
- Previous operation of roll off and/or tracker trailer a plus, but not required.
- Class A CDL is required.
- Ability to safely maneuver equipment throughout the yard, i.e. awareness of customers and employee traffic.
- Ability to work 1st shift hours w/OT and work on Saturdays.
- Able to work in all weather conditions.
- Self-motivated, team player dedicated to the organization.
- Ability to communicate effectively, including speaking clearly over a two-way radio.
- Good decision making skills in a fast paced, ever changing work environment.
