Job Summary The Noninvasive Cardiology Manager provides direction and clinical leadership in the daily operation of echocardiography, electrocardiograph, and Stress testing services. To ensure the delivery of efficient and cost-effective quality care for patients by creating a work atmosphere conducive to professional growth, accountability, and autonomy. Provide clinical-technical leadership to supervise, direct problem-solve, schedule, and assign the work of staff in the echocardiography, electrocardiograph, and stress test laboratory. Participate in strategic planning, establish departmental goals, develop new service plans as directed, and make recommendations in budget preparations. Ensure the service functions in accordance with Joint Commission, Catholic Medical Center established policies, and other appropriate standards of care. Develop, implement, and maintain the echo and cardiac technician laboratorys QI program and ICAEL Accreditation program.
Interview and recommend selection of candidates for employment. Recommend personnel actions, including but not limited to hiring, transferring, suspending, counseling, disciplining, discharging, assigning, rewarding, or adjusting grievances involving assigned personnel in consultation with Human Resources Department. Evaluate the clinical competency and performance of cardiac sonographers and cardiac technicians under direct supervision on an ongoing basis in relation to standards of care and practice for echocardiography, electrocardiograph, and stress testing services. Prepare and conduct formal-informal performance appraisals and recommends appropriate action, merit increase.
Qualifications Bachelors degree required 5 years experience in a noninvasive cardiology environment preferred Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer license required State of New Hampshire Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy License required Basic Life Support BLS required within 30 days
