Job Duties
The NORIA & Warranty Coordinator is a member of a team which is in charge of setting up the resources necessary for implementing a modification or a control on an engine/ module/ accessory, in accordance with a Service Bulletin.
Processes warranty claims; coordinates core returns and subsequent repairs; maintains warranty and core return files
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Noria
- Coordinate the implementation of the different NORIA, UPGRADE and RETROFIT programs assigned to the Dallas Hub.
- Is technically familiar with Arriel and Arrius, Makila & Arrano engines
- Organizes and maintains database, file system, and technical documentation for NORIA project files and correspondence.
- Coordinates, schedules, and tracks the progress of NORIA projects in the field, Support Centers, Maintenance Centers and Repair Centers.
- Ensures timely scheduling for repairs and/or troubleshooting of components or other NORIA issues.
- Acts as interface with Support Centers for scheduling and completing NORIA projects in the field.
- Maintains databases for tracking of NORIA project progress.
- Is responsible for initiating and following up on parts orders for support of field upgrades including order entry, coordination of shipping, and follow up for delivery tracking.
- Reviews incoming documentation (applicable to NORIA projects) for accuracy and completeness, on repairable parts and accessories received at SHE USA.
- Ensures that documentation from Support Centers, field mechanics, and operators provide sufficient documentation.
- Reviews schedules, service bulletins, field coms, and related information to maintain current knowledge of methods, procedures, and activities in assigned area.
- Interprets service bulletins, field coms, and related information and facilitates material requirements for the assigned area.
- Initiates exchange order transactions for accessories and other parts for NORIA projects.
- Maintains open exchange files. Closes exchange transactions by return of core items and completes Certificate of Compliance from operators.
- Travel required: 5 percent, including internationally.
- Selects procedures from several options to complete assignments; recommends expenditures. Has authority to act but must notify supervisor promptly. Divulging of confidential and/or sensitive information could lead to damage to the reputation and/or competitive posture of the corporation. Errors may lead to high risk of major damage to the organization resulting in the need to reconstruct the entire team effort.
Job Requirements
Warranty
- Reviews and determines warrant claim eligibility.
- Completes and routes work orders for repairs.
- Provides repair quotes and technical reports to Safran Helicopter Engines
- Reviews repair costs and maintains cost controls.
- Reconciles claim forms, overdue cores, and warranty committee decisions.
- Maintains warranty log and SWIT database.
- Produces monthly status reports.
- Maintains all required files
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university or three years of experience in aviation mechanical, engineering, technical or customer support position
- Mechanical/technical /interpersonal-Advanced- Skills must be adapted to the unique requirements of the organization.
- Advanced - Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint preferred
- 3+ years of advanced spreadsheets skills (pivot tables, charts/graphs, excel formulas, etc.…) preferred
- Enterprise Resource Planning tools - SAP is preferred
- Experience in delivering results under pressure and take decisions
- Experience in working across cultures and being sensitive to local sensitivities
- Lean sigma or project management certification would be an asset
- Able to multitasks, autonomous and proactive
