Overview

At Flanigans, we strive to bring together warm, caring, friendly, outgoing people, who find joy in serving others. Our servers play a vital role in every meal - welcoming and guiding, taking orders and serving, and attending to details.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed.
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests questions verbally and clearly.
• Accurately write down guests orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner.
• Ability to assess guests demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager.
• Collect guests payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift.
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently.
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read and write English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc.
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigans and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigans and Florida statutes.
