Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair electronic and mechanical equipment in a medical device manufacturing environment. The role requires adherence to cGMP standards, facility quality systems, and safety regulations while supporting continuous improvement and engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) to ensure reliable operations.
Maintain an accurate spare parts inventory (fabricated and commercial).
Support engineering projects, including equipment installation, qualifications (IQs), and upgrades.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, improve reliability, and minimize waste.
Test and repair electronic circuits using oscilloscopes, voltmeters, amp meters, and signal generators.
Install, modify, and maintain control panel wiring and assist with PLC ladder logic program adjustments.
Train operators and assist with machine setups and operations.
Collaborate with tool room and central crib teams to ensure timely repairs and parts availability.
Propose and review design changes with engineers to improve product quality and reduce recurring issues.
Be available for off-shift call-ups and flexible to work overtime as needed.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED (Required).
Associate's Degree in a technical field (Preferred).
In lieu of degree: minimum of 2 years of technical experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient in hydraulic, electric, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Proficient in reading blueprints and schematics.
Basic computer skills (SAP, Excel, Word).
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, write, and converse in English.
