Prepare for and teach AFJROTC curriculum up to 6 class periods per day. Each class period may contain 30 or more students, varying in age and maturity levels, and coming from different socioeconomic backgrounds. •Lead Before and/or After-School Activities. Coordinate and lead a variety of co-curricular school activities, including those held before or after the school day. These activities may include physical training events, academic clubs, rocketry teams, marksmanship teams, and drill instruction. •Manage Off-Campus Events. Organize and lead field trips to historical sites, coordinate visits to government agencies and military installations, and facilitate unit participation in parades and other community events. •Serve as an Air Force Ambassador. Exemplify a positive Air Force image by conducting themselves in a professional manner. Additionally, instructors must maintain a professional military appearance in uniform and comply with Air Force Junior ROTC weight and body fat standards. •Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum planning, Air Force educational concepts, drill and ceremonies, and educational administration, including assessments. Academic, administrative, logistical, financial support tasks, and after-school activities are regular aspects of the instructor position.
