Description
The Non-profit Relationship Coordinator is a full-time, hybrid, donor-funded, mission-focused one-year position that serves as the primary liaison between the School of Business and the non-profit sector. Working closely with the Dean, the Coordinator will develop and maintain relationships with non-profit organizations; create pathways for student engagement, internships, projects, and career exploration; and help students understand the many roles business graduates can play in mission-driven organizations. The position manages projects, partnerships, events, and the new non-profit engagement initiative, but does not supervise employees.
Examples of Duties
Develop and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national non-profit organizations; serve as the School of Business point of contact for nonprofit outreach and engagement
25%Identify and cultivate student pathways into non-profit organizations, including internships, volunteer experiences, consulting projects, job shadowing, employment exploration, and other experiential opportunities
20%Coordinate nonprofit leader engagement, including a minimum of two nonprofit leaders, executives, Leaders in Residence or Executives-in-Residence each semester through virtual and/or in-person programming
20%Educate students about the wide range of roles business graduates can play in mission-driven organizations, including accounting, finance, marketing, management, operations, human resources, analytics, fundraising-related roles, and executive leadership
15%Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and external partners to integrate nonprofit perspectives, projects, and events into academic and co-curricular experiences.
10%Plan, promote, and execute events and programs; track partnership activities, student engagement, and program outcomes; and provide periodic reports to the Dean.

Typical Qualifications
Education:
Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited institution.
Years of Experience:
Required: No specific number of years of prior nonprofit-sector or fundraising experience is required. Candidate must demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the School of Business curriculum, student preparation, and the professional skills and career pathways available to business students and graduates.
Preferred: Experience coordinating events, programs, student engagement activities, or projects involving multiple groups or stakeholders.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Hybrid work arrangement. Standard office environment with occasional travel to meetings, events, and partner organizations. Some evening and weekend activities may be required to support speakers, Executives-in-Residence, community engagement, or student programming. Must be able to communicate effectively in person, by phone, through email, and using virtual meeting platforms.
