We are seeking dependable and safety-minded individuals to join our team in Youngstown, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to work in a dynamic industrial environment on the blast line.

Our client specializes in producing steel fabrications and counterweights. As part of their growth, they need hardworking team members to move steel plates through the blast process, operate vibrating tables, and monitor machines and robots for defects or malfunctions. This role is vital to ensuring their high standards of safety and quality are maintained.

Hours
2nd Shift: 2:30 PM - 10:30 PM, any day of the week

Pay
$16.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities
• Moving steel plates through the blaster and operating vibrating tables as assigned
• Monitoring machine and robot operation to detect defects or malfunctions, making adjustments when needed
• Following verbal instructions from supervisors
• Observing all safety rules and keeping the work area clean and organized
• Reporting abnormal conditions of equipment to supervision
• Maintaining situational awareness around machinery and coworkers

Minimum Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Ohio Driver’s License
• Strong mathematical aptitude and hand-eye coordination
• Reliable, dependable, and willing to learn company processes
• Ability to follow detailed instructions from supervision

Nice to Have Skills
• Forklift operation
• Welding experience
• Heavy industrial background
• Steel industry experience

Preferred Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED

Other Requirements
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical labor throughout the shift
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Tolerance for working in varying temperatures
• Ability to respond quickly to sounds and potential hazards
• Proper use of personal protective equipment at all times
