Job Description

Job Title: Concrete/Carpenter Location: Rockville, VirginiaJob Type: Full-Time + Per diem ($90/Daily) if out of 50 mi radius. About the RoleWe are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Concrete/Carpenter to join our team.Key ResponsibilitiesConstruct, install, and dismantle concrete formwork using wood, metal, and engineered forming systems.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.Measure, cut, assemble, and secure forms according to project requirements.Place, spread, level, and finish concrete for foundations, slabs, walls, columns, sidewalks, and other commercial structures.Assist with concrete pours, including screeding, floating, edging, and finishing.Install embeds, anchor bolts, expansion joints, and other concrete accessories.Strip and clean forms for reuse.Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.Assist with layout, framing, and other rough carpentry tasks as needed.Perform demolition and site preparation work.Maintain clean and organized work areas.Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies at all times.Work closely with supervisors and other trades to ensure projects are completed on schedule.Perform other duties as assigned.Required SkillsPrevious experience in commercial concrete construction and/or carpentry preferred.Ability to read tape measures and basic construction drawings.Experience with concrete form systems (wood, Symons, Doka, Peri, EFCO, or similar) is preferred.Knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques.Ability to safely operate construction tools and equipment.Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.Reliable transportation to various job sites.Ability to work overtime and weekends when project schedules require.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, and reaching.Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Comfortable working at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts when required.Ability to perform physically demanding labor for extended periods.Work EnvironmentCommercial construction sites.Exposure to dust, noise, concrete materials, and changing weather conditions.Use of required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, high-visibility clothing, and steel-toe boots. For a faster response, please text 346-269-5397
