ComForCare Home Care - Central DuPage is seeking a reliable and experienced CNA, Caregiver, or HHA to support a senior client in Wheaton, Illinois. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is confident with safe patient handling, enjoys one-on-one caregiving, and is available for a consistent weekend schedule.

Hands-on experience using a Hoyer Lift or mechanical patient lift is required.

Position Information

• Location: Wheaton, IL
• Schedule: Saturday and Sunday
• Hours: 11:00 AM-7:00 PM
• Position: CNA / Caregiver / HHA
• Employment Type: Weekend Part-Time
• Experience: Professional caregiving experience required

Your Role

As a member of our in-home care team, you will help promote the clients safety, dignity, comfort, and independence throughout the day.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing personal care and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Using a Hoyer Lift or mechanical lift for safe transfers
• Assisting with repositioning, mobility, and transfers
• Supporting bathing, toileting, grooming, and dressing
• Providing incontinence care as needed
• Following safe patient-handling and fall-prevention practices
• Preparing meals and assisting with feeding when necessary
• Offering companionship and emotional support
• Providing medication reminders according to the care plan
• Completing light housekeeping related to the clients care
• Monitoring and reporting changes in the clients condition
• Following the clients individualized service plan
• Communicating professionally with the office, family, and care team

Qualifications

We welcome applicants with experience as a:

• CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant
• Caregiver
• HHA - Home Health Aide
• Personal Care Assistant
• Private Duty Caregiver
• Home Care Aide

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous professional caregiving or senior-care experience
• Hands-on Hoyer Lift or mechanical lift experience
• Knowledge of safe transfers, mobility assistance, and fall prevention
• Ability to provide respectful and patient-centered care
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently in a client's home
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation, if required
• Willingness to complete required screening and onboarding procedures
