A well-respected pediatric practice in Far Rockaway is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its growing team. This position will begin on a part-time basis with evening hours and Sundays and offers the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Responsibilities
Conduct pediatric patient assessments, including medical histories and physical examinations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pediatric conditions
Perform well-child visits and preventive care services
Monitor growth and developmental milestones
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate
Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with applicable regulations and scope of practice
Educate parents and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, preventive care, immunizations, and healthy childhood development
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation within the electronic medical record system
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold clinical best practices
Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to children and families
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Current NP or PA certification
Pediatric experience preferred
Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical setting
