Job Summary:

Trane Technologies is hiring a NPD Material Planner in La Crosse WI. The NPD Material Planner is responsible for oversee the development process and material order for the start of new products in the manufacturing plant.  The NPD Material Planner will collaborate with enterprise strategic procurement, supplier representatives, logistics, scheduling, engineering, quality, finance and assembly operations teams ensuring alignment of product timelines, solve problems, improve processes and key metrics.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans purchased raw material for new products as required.  Responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production requirements and inventory turns goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive new product development initiatives.
  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly and annual standard work processes to support rigorous inventory management, supplier relations, data management and operational effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of components and materials required for NPI activities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure effective material and information flow throughout the entire value stream.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, and critical path analyses to track progress and identify potential bottlenecks or risks.
  • Facilitates phase-in/phase-out projects associated with design changes, value-engineering, supplier sourcing changes and product lifecycle management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, relevant years of work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • Experience with data analytics, change management, and productivity projects preferred.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, production planning, and inventory control.
  • Oracle R12 experience preferred.
  • Experience in new product launch or project management.

Annual Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range:

$56,300.00 - $101,394.99
