About 1X We're an AI and robotics company based in Palo Alto, California, on a mission to build a truly abundant society through general-purpose robots capable of performing any kind of work autonomously.

We believe that to truly understand the world and grow in intelligence, humanoid robots must live and learn alongside us. That's why we're focused on developing friendly home robots designed to integrate seamlessly into everyday life.

We're looking for curious, driven, and passionate people who want to help shape the future of robotics and AI. If this mission excites you, we'd be thrilled to hear from you and explore how you might contribute to our journey.

Role Overview

We are seeking an NPI Project Manager to lead supply readiness across key commodity areas supporting the development and deployment of our advanced bipedal humanoid robots. This role will be essential in scaling our production from prototype to volume manufacturing and ensuring reliable builds across motors, PCBs, structural assemblies, and test components. The ideal candidate will bridge planning, operations, and engineering, enabling seamless material flow and inventory health.

  • Translate the Master Production Schedule into actionable material plans to ensure timely availability across Raw, WIP, and Finished Goods
  • Monitor and manage inventory health, proactively identifying risks and optimizing stock levels to prevent shortages or excess
  • Support new product introductions by developing material readiness plans, creating preliminary BOMs, and leading clear-to-build reviews
  • Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and Program Management to align on demand, supply, and inventory strategies
  • Lead planning contributions to S&OP meetings and provide reporting on inventory levels, spend, and material availability
  • Drive continuous improvements in ERP/PLM data accuracy, change management processes, and reporting tools

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • 4+ years of experience in material planning using ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite; MES/PLM experience is a plus
  • Experience working in hardware or electronics manufacturing environments (robotics, EV, or related preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capabilities; experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau preferred
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, metrics-driven mindset
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification is a plus; experience in electronics, PCB, or battery supply chains is highly desirable

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid time off and holidays
