The NPI Team Technician will be responsible for assisting Process Engineers in the build and analysis of flexible circuits. We are looking for technicians who are mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and interested in utilizing their technical aptitude in the area of automotive electronics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform detailed hand assembly of prototypes.
Soldering and crimping of wire and cable harnesses; assembling and connecting electronic components and circuits on prototype boards, ensuring reliable electrical connections.
Prepare recipes and files for tools to process prototypes.
Reading and interpreting assembly instructions to develop prototypes with attention to detail.
Troubleshooting both visually and physically by hand of prototypes to ensure prototypes are functioning as they should.
Other duties as needed or required.
Experience/Education
Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. Relevant experience or certification may substitute.
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in the automotive, aerospace, or high-tech industry.
Experience in assembling and connecting electronic components and circuits on prototype boards.
Strong proficiency with manual soldering and manual solder rework is required.
Professional working experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, or research and development environment.
Proficiency with electronic test equipment, hand tools, and assembly techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills, communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Proven computer skills to enter data and record information.
Aptitude to follow process instructions.
Understanding of production procedures.
Willingness to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
Attention to detail.
