Role Overview

We are seeking a Systems Administrator for a part-time role based in Quantico, VA. The position involves providing Windows desktop support, coordinating with cybersecurity teams to implement updates and patches, and performing system confirmations in a personnel testing lab. The successful candidate will also support testing sessions, execute data downloads, and assist in preparing Authority To Operate (ATO) documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Windows desktop support.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity on identifying and implementing updates and patches, providing artifacts to support Authority To Operate (ATO) package creation.
• Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly, or on-demand updates and patches to systems and an air-gapped network, including from Microsoft, NSA/DISA, DISA, and Dell/Intel.
• Perform and report on lab confirmation testing based on a provided plan to ensure readiness for personnel testing, data collection, and demonstrations.
• Provide in-person support during personnel testing and data collection sessions, including observation, issue capture, and troubleshooting.
• Execute data downloads from testing sessions and distribute data based on a provided procedure.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

• Five or more years of experience with Windows 11 Desktop OS with a BS degree, or nine years of experience without a degree.
• Five or more years of experience in PC maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Five or more years of experience with CISCO IOS 17.* switches/routers.
• Five or more years of experience in Local Area Networks (LAN) administration.
• Experience with RMF documentation or technical writing.
• Experience with briefing a chain of command or senior officers.

Skills and Certifications:

• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Ability to identify, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.
• CompTIA A+
• CompTIA Net+
• Microsoft Certification
• Cisco Certification
