The NSA Summer Internship Programs at our Fort Meade, MD location offers students exciting, impactful professional work opportunities (with pay and limited benefits!) to grow their knowledge of the Intelligence Community and federal government while advancing NSA's two primary missions: 1) Collecting, analyzing, and producing foreign signals intelligence; and 2) Providing cybersecurity solutions and guidance to protect critical national infrastructure. These summer internship opportunities are open to students who are pursuing education in a variety of degree programs.
The CASA Summer Program is a 12-week summer program for U.S. citizen undergraduates majoring in mathematics and/or computer science (a background in both is desired). CASA stands for Cryptanalysis and Signals Analysis, and it is an organization within the SIGINT mission. The CASA Summer Program draws on a wide variety of operational problems from within the fields of cryptanalysis and signals analysis. All problems require good problem-solving skills and programming but no prior knowledge is assumed. The problems that CASASP works on are APPLIED in nature: participants will be using the logic and programming skills they've learned in college math and computer science classes to develop a solution that will typically result in software that will be used within the CASA mission.
