A well-established law firm with offices in Dallas and Houston is expanding its litigation team and seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Attorney to join the firm on a 100% remote basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator who wants sophisticated, meaningful work without giving up the flexibility of working from anywhere in Texas.

The firm’s practice focuses on insurance coverage, litigation, construction, and maritime law, providing attorneys with the opportunity to handle complex matters and work with a diverse range of clients.
What You’ll Do

• Handle a diverse caseload of insurance defense litigation matters
• Manage cases from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motions, hearings, and trial preparation
• Represent clients in matters involving commercial transportation, premises liability, and construction defects
• Develop case strategy and work closely with clients, claims professionals, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, legal correspondence, and other litigation documents
• Conduct legal research and provide thoughtful, practical legal analysis
• Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings
• Trial experience is a plus, but not required

What We’re Looking For

• 7+ years of insurance defense litigation experience
• Strong background in commercial transportation, premises liability, construction defect, or related insurance defense matters
• Proven ability to independently manage litigation files and deadlines
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and communication skills
• Active Texas Bar license
• Trial experience is preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively and independently in a fully remote environment
