Study Abroad Storyteller Job Description

Newcomb-Tulane College's Office of Study Abroad seeks undergraduate students to represent the office and Tulane more broadly as a study abroad ambassador, helping tell the story of studying abroad through a Tulane-affiliated program. As a study abroad ambassador, you will be asked to capture and design high-quality content on your phone or camera and format it for posting on social media. Your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Capture, edit and deliver content for a total of six social media posts over the course of your term (July/August through late November/early December), with guidance from a staff member in the Office of Study Abroad. These pieces of content will include a mix of reels, graphics and photos.

  • Content must be appropriate for sharing on a public social media channel associated with your name and Tulane University, as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct.

  • While content will be captured on your own time, it must be delivered at the clearly communicated deadlines provided before your term begins.

  • Research social media trends that could be applied to studying abroad, suggest them to the point person in the Office of Study Abroad and apply them to the content you capture.
