A day in the life…

Wondering what a day in the life of Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Cardiology at The Iowa Clinic might look like?

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform Nuclear Medicine/PET imaging procedures to produce accurate diagnostic data.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, performing quality control, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and preparation while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
• Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and ensure strict confidentiality of patient information.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to interpret data, resolve issues, and support efficient workflow.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, procedure updates, and departmental goals.
• Maintain professionalism, strong working relationships, and a clean, organized work environment.

This job might be for you if…

Education

• Completion of AMA approved School of Nuclear Medicine

Qualifications

• Two years applicable clinical experience in nuclear medicine and systems environment.

Required Licenses

• ARRT or NMTCB registered.
• Current State of Iowa permit to practice Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
