Job Summary and Qualifications

Provides care for patients requiring Nuclear Medicine procedures. Performs all duties directly involved with procedures utilizing radioactive isotopes for diagnostic and some therapeutic purposes in accordance with ALARA standards. Operates equipment utilized to measure radiation, produce images, quantify physiologic responses, and relay images and measurements to the physician for interpretation. Employs practices and techniques to ensure the safe handling of radioactive materials, especially when dosing patients with radiopharmaceuticals (both orally and intravenously) as prescribed and authorized by the responsible licensed physician.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • State of Florida Registered Radiologic Technologist as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (N), or Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
