Schedule: Day Shift | 40 Hours per Week | 13 Weeks

Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment with temp-to-hire potential in Bloomington, Indiana. The role involves performing diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures in a fast-paced imaging department supporting inpatient, outpatient, and emergency care.
Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure patient safety throughout the process. The role includes operating imaging equipment, assisting with patient preparation, performing IV starts, and maintaining accurate imaging records. The technologist will collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams while ensuring compliance with radiation safety and infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and ER patients
- Administer radiopharmaceuticals and ensure patient safety during procedures
- Conduct cardiac and diagnostic nuclear medicine studies
- Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment
- Perform IV starts and assist with patient preparation
- Document imaging accurately in Cerner and PACS systems
- Collaborate with radiologists, cardiologists, and healthcare staff
- Maintain radiation safety and infection control protocols
- Monitor patient condition and provide compassionate care
- Handle daily patient volume of approximately 13–15 patients
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required
- Active BLS certification required
- Experience with IV starts and PACS required
- Experience in cardiac imaging, bone scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, thyroid studies, tumor localization, and myocardial imaging required
- First-time travelers accepted
