Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Facility: TUKHS - Great Bend Campus
Location: Great Bend, KS 67530

Position Type: Full-Time
Shift Schedule:
  • 5-8 hour shifts or 4-10 hour shifts (e.g., 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Rotation through weeknights, call duty, and weekends as part of on-call schedule
  • On-call responsibility on rotation, with additional coverage required during holidays as needed

Position Overview:
Join our dedicated radiology team at TUKHS - Great Bend Campus as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. In this role, you will perform advanced nuclear imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, working closely with physicians and healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities include preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to prescribed protocols
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment
  • Monitor patient safety, comfort, and compliance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians to interpret imaging results
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and patient records
  • Assist with daily operations and uphold quality standards within the radiology department

Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program
  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine (or eligible)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
  • Licensure through the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts (KSBHA) within 90 days of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Open to recent graduates with relevant educational background

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
  • Bilingual abilities to enhance patient communication
  • Experience with computer systems used in medical imaging
