Certification: CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist)
Licensure: State License as a General Radiographer or NMT
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience
Graduate of an accredited AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine program
ARRT(N) or CNMT registry required
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT) is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services to both inpatients and outpatients under the direction of a Radiologist and in accordance with departmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and therapeutic procedures
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging and processing equipment
Perform quality control and ensure compliance with radiation safety standards
Acquire and process diagnostic images for physician interpretation
Maintain accurate patient and procedure records
Provide patient care and education related to nuclear medicine procedures
