Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is a 280-bed acute care campus located in the heart of Grosse Pointe. Opened in 1945 by the Sisters of Bon Secours, it was acquired by Beaumont Health System in October 2007. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital offers medical, surgical, emergency, obstetric and critical care services.

In March 2012, the Cotton Family Birth Center at Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital was designated a Baby-Friendly birth center by Baby-Friendly USA. Corewell Health Beaumont Grosse Pointe Hospital is also home to The James and Patricia Anderson Surgical Center, a leading-edge, hybrid surgical suite offering advanced learning, technological advancements and a wide array of procedures ranging from traditional to minimally invasive approaches.

Scope of Work

Under the direct supervision of a nuclear medicine technologist, senior nuclear medicine technologist, nuclear pharmacist or physician, a Nuclear Medicine Technologist Assistant performs basic departmental tasks relating to patient care, quality control checks on instruments, radiopharmaceuticals, and some imaging procedures. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist Assistant uses specific age and culture-related physical intellectual, psychological and developmental attributes in assessment of planning, education of patient, implementation and evaluation of patient care. Delivers excellent customer service. Follows Corewell Health philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience (patient care) preferred.
  • Must successfully pass a course on radiation safety, competency test on DEXA imaging and competency test on equipment safety.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association and /or the American Red Cross required.
