AMI is seeking a Per Diem Nuclear Medicine PET/CT Technologist to join the team! This is a great opportunity to join a growing outpatient radiology practice.

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Proficiently operates all imaging, survey, assay and computational image developing and patient-care related equipment in the office;
  • Performs all static, dynamic and invitro scans required on referred patients;
  • Administers required radiopharmaceuticals to patients, either by injection or orally, and is capable of inserting IV Catheters;
  • Performs and documents all required radiation-related surveys per office policies based on the standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, NJ Bureau of Radiation Health and the Joint Commission;
  • Respects, protects and maintains patient privacy at all times;
  • Participates in staff meetings, in-service training programs & other meetings as required;
  • Obtains & applies understanding of policies & procedures as they relate to employee & patient safety;
  • Performs other related technical and clerical duties to assure the proper, orderly and efficient operation of the Nuclear Medical Laboratory; and
  • Performs all other duties as required and assigned.

Available shifts include weekdays 7:30am-6pm, as needed for PTO coverage. This position will provide coverage in the Wall, NJ office location. Schedules are based on employee availability and department needs.

Eligible candidates are graduates of an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine Technology, registered by ARRT in Nuclear Medicine Technology or by the CNMT registry, and appropriately licensed for Nuclear Medicine & PET/CT in the State of New Jersey. Current and valid American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross CPR/BLS certification is required (must include hands-on instruction) prior to the start of employment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for success in this position, along with a demonstrated ability to provide a positive & impactful patient experience.
