D- SPEC
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 4-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience performing nuclear cardiology studies utilizing the D-SPECT VISTA camera by Spectrum Dynamics. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to patient safety, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
Operate and maintain D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) nuclear cardiology imaging equipment.
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established safety guidelines.
Acquire, process, and evaluate diagnostic images for quality and accuracy.
Monitor patients during imaging procedures and provide appropriate patient care.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Document patient information and procedure details accurately within the electronic medical record.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification.
Active state license (if required by state regulations).
Minimum of 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine experience.
Recent hands-on experience with D-SPECT VISTA by Spectrum Dynamics is required.
Experience in nuclear cardiology and cardiac stress testing preferred.
Current BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of nuclear cardiology imaging protocols.
Excellent communication and patient care skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
