Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Houston, TX

Pay Rate: Starting at $69.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Dean's Professional Services is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join a leading healthcare system in Houston, TX. This position is ideal for an experienced imaging professional who is committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic care while utilizing advanced nuclear medicine technology. You will play a critical role in producing accurate diagnostic images, supporting physicians in patient diagnosis and treatment, and ensuring exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures to evaluate organ function and assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients
  • Prepare, administer, and monitor radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety guidelines
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and education before, during, and after imaging procedures
  • Operate and maintain nuclear medicine imaging equipment while following quality assurance protocols
  • Analyze image quality and recognize technical issues to ensure accurate diagnostic results
  • Monitor departmental resources, workflows, and imaging processes to promote operational efficiency
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and imaging records in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, radiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, and departmental policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license required
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-N) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) required
  • Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, radiation safety, and patient care practices
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-centered healthcare environment
