Job Summary and Qualifications

• Perform a variety of Nuclear Medicine studies.
• Order, prepare, calibrate, storage, and administer radiopharmaceuticals
• Operate various radiation detection devices.
• Perform quality assurance
• Assist in the cleaning and maintenance of the Nuclear Medicine department
• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner and always identifies patients utilizing the proper protocols
• Enter proper patient charges upon completion of nuclear exam
• Perform quarterly inventories of radioactive sealed sources
• Perform decontamination procedures
• Process Images from scans of nuclear studies
• Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner
• Maintains strict confidentiality regarding employees and patients
• Completes and maintains educational requirements

What qualifications you will need:

EXPERIENCE

• REQUIRED: None
• PREFERRED: Minimum of one year as a nuclear medicine technologist

EDUCATION

• REQUIRED: Graduate of accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Continuing education as required for licensure 

LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:

• REQUIRED: Current licensure in Nuclear Medicine by ARRT or CNMT (ARRT-N or CNMNT)
• BLS for Healthcare Providers through AHA or CPR through American Red Cross
