Job Summary and Qualifications
Associate performs a variety of duties in preparing patients for scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information. He/she will operate Nuclear Medicine equipment to produce images and measures concentration of radioactive isotopes in specified body areas. Practices proper radiation safety techniques on all exams performed. Associate maintains a safe environment for patients, visitors, staff, and co-workers. Supports and helps achieve the departmental and hospital goals.
Qualifications
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. • Bachelors degree in Nuclear Medicine or equivalent. • Must be certified/eligible by CNMT or ARRT N. • Must possess MRT from Texas Medical Board. • 1 year of experience in Nuclear Medicine preferred.
Call Requirements
Call would require you to live within 30 minutes response time. Call is shared with current staff rotation and would be after 5PM on weekdays and 24 hours on weekends.
