    Description

    Job Summary:

    Performs a wide variety of Nuclear Medicine Procedures. May be required to be section coordinator for the Nuclear Medicine Department. Maintains compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards for this section. Performs procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, ingenuity and initiative techniques. Assumes responsibility for quality procedures and direct patient care for the final diagnostic procedure. Frequent contact with patients, family members, physicians and their office staff. Responsible for performing own job duties in the care of neonates, infants, adolescents, adult and geriatric age patients. Must demonstrate good communication skills, assertiveness, adaptability and guest relations. Works all shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, on-call and call-back.

    Education:

    Required:

    • A graduate of an ARRT approved radiologic technology program with active ARRT(N) Reference: https://www.arrt.org/Education/ (compliant with all continuing education mandates).

    And/or A graduate of an accredited school for Nuclear Medicine Technology with an active CNMT license. Commensurate for licensure requirements

    Experience:

    Required:

    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a wide variety of Nuclear Medicine scans, including cardiac, stress, and spect imaging.

    Position Requirement(s): License/Certification/Registration

    Required:

    • ARRT (N) Certified and registered (compliant with all continuing education mandates) and/or

    CNMT certified and registered (compliant with all continuing education mandates)

    • BLS completed prior to going to the unit/ department and maintained going forward
