    Location: Athens, Georgia
    Salary Range: $61 to $61 per hour

    Core Responsibilities
    • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
    • Operate gamma cameras and other specialized imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
    • Position patients correctly and explain procedures thoroughly to ensure comfort and cooperation throughout each scan
    • Analyze and process imaging data, preparing comprehensive reports for reviewing physicians
    • Monitor patients for adverse reactions following radiopharmaceutical administration and respond appropriately
    • Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, dosages, and outcomes in compliance with regulatory requirements
    • Calibrate and perform routine quality control checks on all imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance
    • Adhere strictly to radiation safety protocols to protect patients, colleagues, and yourself from unnecessary exposure
    • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care
    • Stay current with advances in nuclear medicine technology, techniques, and best practices through ongoing professional development

    Must-Have Requirements
    • Active certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in nuclear medicine technology
    • Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure in Georgia
    • Minimum of one year of clinical experience operating gamma cameras and performing nuclear medicine procedures
    • Demonstrated knowledge of radiopharmaceutical preparation, handling, and safety regulations
    • Strong understanding of radiation protection principles and applicable federal and state regulations
    • Proficiency with picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) and electronic health record (EHR) platforms
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact compassionately with patients of all ages and backgrounds
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of diagnostic accuracy and patient safety
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment
    • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning as required
