Nuclear Medicine Technician

Location: York, Maine
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift Schedule

Monday through Friday
7:30 AM – 4:00 PM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technician for a 13-week contract assignment supporting both outpatient cardiology and hospital-based nuclear medicine services in southern Maine and New Hampshire. This role involves performing nuclear stress testing and a variety of general nuclear medicine procedures while delivering exceptional patient care in a collaborative clinical environment.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in nuclear medicine imaging, experience with cardiac studies, and the ability to work effectively across multiple clinical locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general nuclear medicine and cardiac imaging studies
  • Conduct nuclear stress testing within an outpatient cardiology setting
  • Perform IV insertion and patient preparation for imaging procedures
  • Ensure safe handling, administration, and storage of radioactive materials
  • Maintain compliance with Nuclear Medicine accreditation and regulatory standards
  • Support radioactive materials safety and documentation requirements
  • Accurately document procedures, patient information, and imaging results
  • Collaborate closely with Cardiologists, Radiologists, and clinical staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging
  • Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care throughout all procedures
  • Travel between assigned clinical locations as needed

Requirements

  • Active CNMT certification required
  • Active BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience preferred
  • Experience with both cardiac and general nuclear medicine studies preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment
