Job Description

University of Washington Medical Center - Northwest - Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME, day shift, RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - NUCLEAR MEDICINE.

WORK SCHEDULE

  • PER DIEM
  • Day Shift; 8 to 10 hour shifts within clinic hours 6:30am-7pm, Monday-Saturday
  • 40 hours/week for first 2 months for training, then 2-3 days per week on average (1 to 5 days per week minimum/maximum); weekend call 7am-3:30pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reports to the department supervisor and receives general direction from the supervisor and assigned Nuclear Medicine Lead.
  • Perform complex clinical diagnostic examinations such as lymphoscintography, treadmill cardiac perfusion, and pharmacologic stress cardiac perfusion, and provide expertise to support nuclear medicine clinical services.
  • Tailors examinations to individual patient in collaboration with physician.
  • Under general direction, exercise advanced technical knowledge in a specific area of expertise such as clinical computer application or examination protocol development in the field of nuclear medicine, and provide work direction to others in area of expertise.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Graduation from a program approved by the Joint Review Commission for Nuclear Medicine Technologists (JCRNMT) AND certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of Washington.
