Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Sign-On Bonus:

Job Summary:
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides healthcare services using radionuclides to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires advanced technical skills to perform a broad range of nuclear medicine procedures, computer processing of imaging data, and other specialized tasks necessary to produce diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. The technologist exercises professional judgment while delivering compassionate, ethical, and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide variety of nuclear medicine imaging and diagnostic procedures
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols
  • Operate imaging equipment and perform computer processing of diagnostic data
  • Ensure high-quality images for physician interpretation
  • Monitor patients during procedures and provide appropriate patient care and education
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
  • Follow radiation safety guidelines and infection prevention protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support quality patient outcomes

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technologist training program
  • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire
    OR
    National Registered Technologist – Nuclear Medicine Technology certification upon hire
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification upon hire
  • National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire
  • Minimum of 6 months of nuclear medicine experience within the last year, or at least 2 years of full-time experience with no more than a 1-year absence from nuclear medicine practice
