Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Location: Houston, TX
Type: Contract
Pay Rate: 
Local Pay: Up to $77/hour
Travel Pay: Up to $82/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic nuclear medicine examinations, evaluate organ function, analyze biological specimens, and produce high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnosis and treatment. The role also contributes to departmental operations through process evaluation and performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine procedures to obtain diagnostic images, evaluate organ function, and analyze biological specimens in accordance with established protocols.

  • Prepare, operate, and maintain nuclear medicine equipment while ensuring accurate image acquisition, patient safety, and radiation safety compliance.

  • Conduct moderate to complex analysis of departmental processes, monitor resources, evaluate workflow, and present historical performance trends to support operational effectiveness.

  • Maintain accurate patient records, collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team, and comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas Medical Board Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) license or temporary MRT license.

  • One of the following certifications:

    • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist – ARRT (N), or

    • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMTCB.
