Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team in Jackson, TN. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures and monitoring the Nuclear Medicine area to ensure safety and efficiency. This role also includes performing other departmental procedures as needed, while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive, caring attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine procedures accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor and maintain the Nuclear Medicine area to ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Perform additional departmental procedures as assigned.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service by displaying a caring and positive attitude.
• Develop consistency in work processes and be a reliable team player.
• Properly position patients for imaging procedures to ensure quality results.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Utilize knowledge of anatomy and nuclear medicine equipment to optimize patient care and imaging quality.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree required.
• Completion of an approved program in Nuclear Medicine or an AMA-approved school.
• Meets requirements for registry eligibility.
• Current certification with the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of anatomy and nuclear medicine equipment.
• Skillful in properly positioning patients for nuclear medicine procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Consistent and dependable work ethic.
• Customer service oriented with a caring and positive attitude.
• PET/CT experience preferred.
