Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Join a collaborative healthcare team where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. We're seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and imaging excellence.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, document, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including SPECT and SPECT/CT, and process images for physician interpretation.
Start IV lines, administer radioisotopes, and remove IVs following established clinical protocols.
Transfer imaging data to PACS, document studies in EPIC, and maintain accurate patient records.
Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control testing on imaging equipment and report any deviations.
Safely receive, store, document, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive waste.
Educate patients, collaborate with physicians and radiologists, and maintain strict radiation safety and infection control standards.
Ensure compliance with hospital policies, licensing requirements, and all applicable regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine or Applied Science (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Current New York State Nuclear Medicine Radiologic Technologist License.
NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.
Current BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
