Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Join a collaborative healthcare team where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and exceptional patient care. We're seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform a wide range of nuclear medicine procedures while ensuring patient safety, regulatory compliance, and imaging excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, document, and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including SPECT and SPECT/CT, and process images for physician interpretation.

  • Start IV lines, administer radioisotopes, and remove IVs following established clinical protocols.

  • Transfer imaging data to PACS, document studies in EPIC, and maintain accurate patient records.

  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly quality control testing on imaging equipment and report any deviations.

  • Safely receive, store, document, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals and radioactive waste.

  • Educate patients, collaborate with physicians and radiologists, and maintain strict radiation safety and infection control standards.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, licensing requirements, and all applicable regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Nuclear Medicine or Applied Science (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Current New York State Nuclear Medicine Radiologic Technologist License.

  • NMTCB or ARRT(N) certification.

  • Current BLS certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
