Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Advanced Cardiac Imaging (D-SPECT VISTA)
Location: Brooklyn, NY
Type: Contract (4 Weeks | Temp-to-Hire Potential)
Pay: $46/hr – $56/hr
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 08:30 AM – 02:30 PM (Hours May Vary) | Approximately 40 Hours/Week
We are seeking an experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist with specialized expertise in Nuclear Cardiology Imaging and recent hands-on experience operating the D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) system. This role involves performing high-quality diagnostic imaging studies, administering radiopharmaceuticals, and ensuring exceptional patient care while maintaining compliance with radiation safety standards.
• Perform nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols.
• Operate and maintain the D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) nuclear cardiology imaging system.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following established safety guidelines.
• Acquire, process, and evaluate diagnostic images for quality and accuracy.
• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and provide appropriate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document patient information, imaging results, and procedure details accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to support diagnostic outcomes.
• Maintain imaging equipment and ensure quality control standards are met.
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program.
• Current ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB Certification.
• Active State License (if required by state regulations).
• Minimum 1 year of recent Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience.
• Recent hands-on experience with D-SPECT VISTA (Spectrum Dynamics) required.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety standards and protocols.
• Ability to work independently in a clinical imaging environment.
• Prior Nuclear Cardiology Imaging experience.
• Experience with cardiac stress testing procedures.
• Strong knowledge of cardiac imaging protocols and radiopharmaceuticals.
• Excellent patient care and communication skills.
• Experience in high-volume imaging environments.
